Your body is approximately 60% water. Your organs and all of your vital systems need water to function properly. Fatigue is one of the first signs of dehydration. A loss of just 1 – 2 percent of body weight as water is enough to cause body systems to slow down, causing you to feel sluggish, tired and irritable. If it turns into full-blown dehydration, it could cause an imbalance in electrolytes like sodium and potassium, which aid muscles and heart function.
How much water you drink depends on your activity level, weight and the weather conditions that you live in. Most doctors recommend 8-9 glasses per day, Although not all of your daily intake has to be water. Approximately 20% can come from what you eat. Watermelon, cucumber and most other fruit and veges are obvious sources (One cup of watermelon has almost a full cup of water), but a lot of foods are wetter than you might think. Oatmeal and beans, even a chicken sandwich, have at least half a cup.
So if you need a quick pick me up, forget coffee, try drinking a glass of water or two.

I was an overweight/obese child born into a big family of big people. I was tested at a young age for developmental issues as I was a huge child and at 18 months couldn’t walk. They found nothing wrong with my brain and even at that stage the odds were stacked against me. My parent’s were told (especially as they were both hugely overweight) that ‘Elephants don’t produce mice…’
I Wear Glasses, I've also worn contacts, I like them both for their benefits but also hate them too, I guess they are a double edged sword. I finally decided I needed to look into both refreshing my look and making sure I could see properly, I had started squinting a lot lately and had quite bad eye strain using my computer.
I also needed to go get a new drivers license and I knew an eye test is inevitable so......
OK, game on, I know it costs a lot of money for glasses but let's see if I can do this, look good, get my vision up to scratch and not cost a Kardashian wedding.
It's been a roller coaster of a journey for me, some would say. I've shifted 12 times in the last 4 years and have been looking for longer than I remember for the way to be happy. Changed jobs, changed vocation, changed relationship, my hair, my weight, my teeth, my voice....the list is endless. Having been such a restless soul has been exhausting - emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually. The struggle with my weight in my pursuit for happiness has also been a huge mind game.....Till I decided something important. I JUST WANTED TO BE HAPPY.

Tonight was an amazing experience for me. I delivered my lecture on 'Effective Storytelling', which was a bit more than some people were expecting.....While these participants, all early childhood specialists, were here to learn the fundamentals of voice control, engaging the audience, new and exciting ways to deliver stories et al, tonight was an exceptional journey.
They arrived after a long day of teaching. My question to me - what am I here to do for these people?
My following question to me - what am I here to do for the world?

Hello dear friends! If you have followed my previous posts you will know by now that I am an airy Gemini who likes to flit around and land on every leaf and flower like a butterfly.....In fact one friend, many years ago gifted me the title 'The Elusive Butterfly' due to my ever-changing and exciting life. As the butterfly is the symbol of change and transformation, I like to see myself as someone who is constantly evolving and aligning to my greatest potential - without sounding too 'woo woo'.

I have recently had the great pleasure of seeing a friend of mine turn his life around.....really quickly!
Some years ago, I was having a rough time financially and personally. I just couldn't seem to get anything right! Cheques were bouncing, I was 'robbing Peter to pay Paul' and generally feeling miserable.
At this time in my life, I had left full time employment and had just started work as a performing arts teacher - a 'proper job' to support my dream of being a full time entertainer....(which is now my reality!)
Before I continue - I have to clear up the 'proper job title'. It has taken me many years to understand that being an actor or a singer is my TRADE, just like a plumber or builder. I understand and acknowledge that this has come from my own attitude towards my work. When people told me 'you will never make a living as a performer', for many years I believed them - until I consciously changed my mindset.....Well - to be honest, it was the words of the great 'Frank N Furter' himself who at the end of 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show' laments: "Don't dream it.....Be it...." That's when I flicked the switch......

As a Gemini, ruled by the quick thinking planet Mercury, I like to talk and over the years have shared many stories about life with my friends.
Everyday, messages seem to be arriving from the Universe thick and fast and a good example happened just a few days ago.
I am the first to admit that I have had a tendency to gossip. Why do we do this? I know I'm not alone here.....

Over the years, most of us have had that conversation. 'Why am I here?'....'What is my purpose?' and all the rest of it.
Do we ever really know? Is this the information that's shown to us when we review lifes movie, at the time of the great Quantum Leap? (My whole life flashed before me eyes.....)
I know I have spent many a drunken night - particularly in my twenties - examining the size of the cosmos, our place in the big scheme of things and why we are all here......And have I found the answer?
